Privacy, in plain Swiss.
This privacy notice covers zzd.ch and the project sites we host on behalf of clients. We follow the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, in force since 1 September 2023) and, for EU/EEA visitors, the GDPR. Plain language, no fluff.
01 Who runs this site
zzd is operated as a sole proprietorship registered in Switzerland. Full operator details on the imprint page.
For client sites we host, the client is the data controller and zzd acts as a processor on their behalf. Each client site has its own privacy notice.
02 What we collect
Three kinds of information, broadly:

No advertising trackers, fingerprinting scripts, or social pixels on zzd.ch.
03 Why we collect it
- To reply to you. Contact forms need an email to reply. Legal basis: your request.
- To run your project. Contracts, drafts, files, invoices. Legal basis: the contract.
- To keep the site safe. Logs help us spot abuse and debug. Legal basis: legitimate interest in security.
- To meet legal obligations. Swiss tax law requires keeping invoices for ten years.
05 How long we keep it
- Contact-form messages · 24 months, then deleted unless we're working together.
- Project files and contracts · 5 years after the project ends.
- Invoices and accounting · 10 years (Swiss tax law).
- Server logs · 30 days, then rotated.
06 Your rights
Under the Swiss FADP and the GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask what data we hold (right of access)
- Get a portable copy
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data deleted, where we have no legal obligation to keep it
- Object to legitimate-interest processing
- Complain to the Swiss FDPIC or your local EU data-protection authority

07 Cookies & analytics
zzd.ch uses one cookie: a session cookie that remembers your language. That's it. No third-party cookies, no advertising, no remarketing, no fingerprinting.
Visits are counted anonymously by a privacy-friendly analytics tool that doesn't set cookies and doesn't see who you are.
