The Swiss EV market's five acquisition paths - new purchase, used cars, German imports, subscriptions, and leases - are fundamentally different in their cost structures and impossible to compare by eye. This tool ranks vehicles by annual cost per kilometer under your usage profile, accounting for depreciation, financing, insurance, cantonal tax, energy (at home and public charging rates), maintenance, tires, lease/subscription overage, and import fees. Adjust your annual kilometers, holding period, charging behaviour, and residual-value sensitivity (+-20%) to see how rankings shift.
What it does not do is pretend to certainty it has not got. Some of the figures behind the ranking are published rates with a link and a date - the ElCom electricity tariff, the import VAT and Automobilsteuer rates, the customs duty, the German VAT rate, the ECB exchange rate, the cantonal registration fees. The rest are our own estimates, and for several of them no Swiss body publishes a figure at all: there is no national average price for public fast charging, no published average comprehensive insurance premium, and no Swiss residual-value table for electric cars. The site says which is which, one line per number. Listings are real offers, each carrying the address it came from. No login, no accounts, no tracking, no cookies beyond technical ones.
Where it stands
- Aargau-scoped only (tax model covers AG only), and the Aargau tax itself is a flat estimate because the offers carry neither weight nor power.
- 25 offers collected by hand between 2026-08-10 and 2026-08-19; a dated snapshot, not live market prices.
- Insurance, service, tyres, public charging and resale values are estimates. The resale-value table is one table for every make, which is the model's largest source of error.
- Beta stage: the UI and cost model are stable; edge cases may exist.
